About PJ
I have seven children, eleven grandchildren, six great grand children (and counting). I decided it was time to get down to business and publish my stories so my great grand children would have something to remember Great-granny PJ by.
I received rejection after rejection and eventually stopped sending my stories to publishers. Then, at age seventy-three I decided to try again. With the first rejection came a letter encouraging me to keep writing. I decided to keep writing but bypassed the publishing companies and became a self-published author.
I went on line and found Mike Motz.com, and two talented illustrators in the Portland area. I started with Lulu.com and am now my own publisher. I recommend self-publishing. if you are not expecting to become known in the world of published books without intense effort on your part. In todays society self-published authors are not highly regarded,
You will find a list of my books here, but they are no longer for sale. They are being offered by donation only to homeless shelters, woman's shelters, foster homes, daycare centers, reading programs, and home schoolers in Oregon.
You can contact me through this site. Please leave the name address and telephone number of the center and the name of a contact person. No personal financial information will be needed or asked for. The books will be delivered directly to the organization by a volunteer messanger or mailed, postage paid by us.
